New Future Fund GM Finally Announced

Ashby Monk

Murphy’s Law: The Future Fund announces its new General Manager on the same day that I blog about how long it’s taking the Future Fund to announce its new General Manager. Sigh. Anyway, Paul Costello’s replacement at the helm of the Future Fund is…Mark Burgess. Here’s the offical bio:

“Mark is currently Chief Executive Officer of Treasury Group, an ASX listed company that invests in, and supports the management of, small to medium sized asset management companies. Prior to this role, Mark was Vice Chairman and CEO, Europe and Middle East at Credit Suisse Asset Management London, Global Head/CIO of Equities at American Express Asset Management International London and Head of Global Asset Management at Colonial First State Investments Melbourne and London.”

Very nice. And here’s some additional info on Mr. Burgess from Treasury Group and Bloomberg. According to the press release, he’ll be taking up his position “sometime in the middle of the year.” Good luck to him.
